CHARACTER #1
Name: Dr. Daniel Jackson (exascendee, Stargate SG-1)

Who They Are: Intergalactic peaceful explorer, archaeologist, linguist, diplomat. He's a big nerd (literally and figuratively). He's gentle and friendly, but can also be SUPER INTENSE, because he has a lot of opinions, and also gets very angry about injustice. He speaks a bajillion languages and has three PhDs. He drinks too much coffee and can research forever. He's technically part of a military operation, and he's a buff dude, but he's only scary if you really piss him off.
Where They've Been: So many planets, so many spaceships, so many civilizations. He's also died 5 times so far. The last time he turned into a god-like ascended being, but about half a year ago he descended again to normal personhood with amnesia, that he's mostly got over by now. He's saved the world (many worlds) many times, and seen horrific stuff. He's a widower after his wife got brainjacked by aliens. Literally all of his family, including a step-son, is dead or ascended. Most recently he actually did some good stuff tho, so he'll be reasonably optimistic.
What They Want: Broadly speaking: helping people and learning about the world. He's going to be Very Interested to hear about literally anything related to Thedas's history and culture. He's going to be VERY EXCITED about ruins. But if there's trouble, then saving people will be his first priority. He also wants to go home/reunite with his team, and will absolutely will be looking for the existence of a Stargate, though that will often end up a bit on the backburner. He also sort of assumes they might eventually find him.
Plot & CR Desires: He'll technically be attached to Research, but he is most definitely going to help out with all kinds of operations. All of it has been part of his work with Stargate Command. If you need someone to help with something, feel free to grab Daniel to do it. It's REALLY easy to find reasons for him to get involved. He's like a potato, you can use him for anything. Except maybe romance. (Which is not to say you shouldn't TRY.) Mostly I just want to get him to know people, make some friends, research stuff, save people, and almost get himself killed a few times.

CHARACTER #2
Name: Judas Iscariot (thirtysilver, Jesus Christ Superstar)

Who They Are: That guy wot betrayed Jesus, but like, modern AU kinda? He's really quite gentle and soft, and he cries a lot. He does a lot of charity work and has too many emotions. Sometimes he's really snarky, but he might be too sad right now, and very guilt-driven.
Where They've Been: He's coming right off his suicide, after dooming his best friend/love of his life to a painful death. So, you know, he's not doing great. Before that he was a political activist and charity worker, in a weird modern AU version of Judea.
What They Want: Repentance? Peace and quiet? He'll hopefully get the former, definitely not the latter. For a while he'll just be like, hanging in there, trying to find meaning in things. Then eventually he'll get back into diplomacy stuff and helping people.
Plot & CR Desires: He desperately needs friends! And a therapist, probably. Eventually I want someone to be like "you're that guy from the bible!" but not right away. Also he's useless in battle, but I like hurting characters so if someone wants to rescue him sometime that's super fun. He's gonna be most involved with diplomacy and charity. And same thing goes as with Daniel, Judas will compulsively try to help people. He might be super awkward about it, because he's forgotten a little bit how to relate to people like a normal person, but damnit he will try. Also if you're a Qunari he MIGHT think you're a demon. He's going to assume Thedas is some weird hell or purgatory.
Anything Else: If you're uncomfortable RPing with him, there's an opt-out post on his journal, so pls do comment there so I don't throw him at you!

Who They Are: a tiefling rifter imported as a Qunari with an anchor shard embedded in her bellybutton. like a troll doll! friendly, excitable, loves cute things, pretty things, pastries, and pranks. as a cleric serving the Traveler, Jester's form of worship involves committing random acts of chaos. she can also heal people and do some other cool stuff.
Where They've Been: not here!
What They Want: to own a nug, help her friends, eat as many new foods as she can, jump on the softest bed in Kirkwall, and play some sweet pranks. oh, and to find her father. eventually.
Plot & CR Desires: part of the reason I decided to play Jester was because she can talk to anyone. so when I say that I want EVERYTHING and ANYTHING, I actually 100% mean it. I just want to set her loose and see what happens.

Who They Are: A modern day fairy hiding as a human, suddenly shoved into an actual human body and booted through a rift. Formerly in a really sketchy gang that did really sketchy things, still willing to do kinda sketchy things, but like. Not really sketchy.
Where They've Been: Generally hung around big cities in southern America.
What They Want: To live a life of effortless luxury, surrounded by adoring admirers. She'll settle for just managing to do as little physical labor as possible, and maybe a decent amount of adoring admirers. And a frappe.
Plot & CR Desires: Resa is going to keep the whole fae thing on the DL for a while at least, and will do her best to pass as just some random, perfectly ordinary human. She'll still be interested in learning how magic and being nonhuman works in this world, however. And just all sorts of stuff!! Throw it at me.
