Anything We Should Know: I've been roleplaying for about a decade now but this is my first experience in a game with a network! I also admittedly know very little about Dragon Age but I love the world and I'm excited to learn as I go along! I appreciate your patience as Newt and I get our feet beneath us, so to speak. I love this ridiculous nerd and I hope others do too.

CHARACTER
Name: Newt Scamander

Who They Are: A magizoologist from the late 1920s who loves creatures of all sorts, especially the magical ones, and especially the "ugly/dangerous/weird" ones. He has no time for jerk wizards who want to start wars for the greater good.
Where They've Been: All over the world for his work, from Sudan to America, most recently, which turned into an adventure all his own. (He almost got executed but it's fine.)
What They Want: To spread the Good Word about how magical creatures are good and pure and deserve be protected and to live side by side by people. Also to try and stop a war over magical supremacy over nonmagical people, and to rescue and protect witches and wizards known as Obscurials.
Plot & CR Desires: I'm really looking forward to seeing what Newt makes of Thedas. He'll be frustrated at being stuck in another realm while a war is brewing back home, and will probably take it out on others, given that he's a prickly disaster still learning how to people. He's also going to be very much not a fan of how Thedas messes with his magic. He will definitely throw himself into studying the animals of Thedas as much as he can, and he will be especially curious about dragons. He's going to have A Lot Of Feelings regarding the various conflicts within Thedas, especially the Templar/Mage conflict. Mostly he's going to sigh. A lot.

I would love for Newt to make new friends, given that, once you get past his prickly exterior, he can be a deeply loyal and devoted friend. I'm game for all sorts of CR, positive or otherwise. I will admit that I'm rusty with negative CR but am happy to play with it regardless. Romantic/possible romantic CR with Newt will be a trial, given that he's currently in love with two people, but I'm up for that as well! Really, I'm excited and very much looking forward to seeing how Newt adapts to Thedas and the people in it. :D

Who They Are: Sarah is a clone, so anyone who knows Cosima will recognize her face. She's also coming in with her twin, Helena. Sarah's a former foster brat, an ex-pat, and a punk.
Where They've Been: In England (specifically Brixton) for the first twelve years of her life, then in Toronto, Canada—she's also lived briefly in random spots all over North America whenever she wanted to get away for a while. (Which was often.)
What They Want: To protect her family. Literally I cannot emphasize this enough. Also to drink a lot, and to escape her current situation and find something better.
Plot & CR Desires: As stated above, Sarah's foremost priority is to protect her family—in this case, Cosima and Helena—and she's probably going to come across as pretty unfriendly for a little while as she gets her bearings and figures out that she can trust people. Once past that, she can be a really nice person (I swear), sooo slow burn CR? Also drinking buddies, orphans, people who want to explore and do cool/dangerous stuff!

Who They Are: A rough-as-guts rural Aussie with an explosive temper who trained up to be a veterinarian, but alongside that is professionally melodramatic and cries about art.
Where They've Been: Australia, mostly.
What They Want: To save all the animals, to save mmmmost of the people, to yell about fantasy land medical practices and lack of sterilised medical equipment, to drink heavily, to learn about all these new animals???
Plot & CR Desires:
I think Alex will have a few different coping mechanisms when she rolls up which will hopefully lead to good cr! Animal care and learning about native animals she hasn't encountered will be one thing, but she might also try to get her teeth into a way to sterilise equipment and eventually try to commission someone to make her very specific surgical tools. However, if you are also up for mass consumption of rum, religious guilt, impulsive behaviour and melodramatic emotional reactions, she's your girl.

Who They Are: Clone of Cosima Niehaus, twin sister to Sarah Manning, raised in a convent in the Ukraine and raised as part of a cult that reviled science and saw it as a perversion of God's will, taught from an early age to be a very brutal assassin by a man called Tomas. Terrifying and cute.

Who They Are: She's Adalia's sister! She's a Paladin without her powers who has a pretty rubbish history and wishes things were a little bit better, but she's trying to get over it. Oh, and her boyfriend is dead and she carries his broken sword everywhere.
Where They've Been: Nowhere yet! She hasn't come through the Rift, but when she does... She's going to haunt the Gallows training area. Oops.
What They Want: To help the helpless, to find a purpose, to take care of herself (and maybe her sister, eventually, when they figure that out) and to find a place for herself here. Also, to move on from all the nastiness of her past.
Plot & CR Desires: Everything and anything! Friends would do her some good, and there's room for some romance in here eventually. Negative CR for people who dislike knightly types would work as well!
Anything Else: Feel free to recognise that she looks vaguely similar to Adalia, even if they haven't figured it out!

Who They Are: A 127 year old elven freedom figher/terrorist/protag side-kick, missing an eyeball, drinking some serious anti-human haterade, waxing not that poetic about how humans are going to end the world and smoking elf weed with his lime green, horse-sized chicken in his down time.

What They Want: To punch everyone who is rude to nonhumans in the dick. And maybe murder them 8T Also, to get back to his world and help his bros try to keep his race from going extinct.
Plot & CR Desires: Huurrkkk he's already adopting Galatea, Adalia and Beleth and making them his new murder daughters. He could probably use Actual Friends, but he's an irritating douchebag and I'm completely open to negative CR of all kinds, he'll probably end up with a lot of it. He's a Hell Of A Soldier, so militant bros and veterans would fit with him very well. He's not a very elegant kind of fancy elf, really, and was designed to sort of contradict that archetype entirely. Also, archery.
