Rule & Policy Changes
We were going to pretend to ban all elves or something as our fake April Fool's prank to disguise our real April Fool's prank, which was luring you into doing this survey, but now it's April 3 and you've all done the survey already. If you haven't, please ignore everything we just said. This survey is completely legitimate and very important.
IC & PLOT UPDATES
Mod Plot: Divine Election
We don't have much in the way of updates regarding the Divine election plot, since we've already dropped a ton of information on you guys about things in the last few weeks. If you missed any of it, the original plot post is here, a second post providing more information to facilitate plotting is here, and the most recent update regarding changes to the deadlines and so on is here.
Current standings based on plots we've approved as of yesterday are over here. (We also have a few plot proposals in the queue to get back to people about, and a few submitted in the last couple of days that aren't included yet!) The deadline to submit proposals for plots to affect the Divine outcome is in an hour or so—it's okay if you submit something at 3 a.m. instead as long as it's all in before we wake up tomorrow. The deadline to submit proof those plots have been played is April 29. We'll put up a log that includes the results on April 30!
Other Important Plot Things
If you or your character is all Divined out and you want to do something else, there's also the whole rest of the war to worry about! There are objectives for every project posted to the War Table! These objectives are meant to help everyone know what their characters are working on and provide inspiration for player plots or IC discussion.
IC Leadership Changes

Applications for open project leader/assistant leader applications are temporarily closed. Here's why: when we created these projects, the game was significantly larger than it is now, and it seemed necessary to divvy up the plot into this many pieces in order to keep it all organized and manageable. But the game has condensed, so people are now spread a lot thinner, and we think it would be beneficial to condense the projects to match. What we plan to do is combine some projects with complementary fields or goals (and also try to trim the Hostile Powers project's scope, because despite our efforts to narrow it by switching from Northern to Hostile that one is still too broad), but we haven't nailed down exactly what the best way to do that is. We need some time to sort it out, and we don't want any of you to spend your time in April applying for roles that may suddenly be different on May 1. That doesn't seem fair to you or a good use of your time, so that's why we've called a pause on new applications for the moment.
We expect to have the reorganization nailed down by the end of the month at the latest, and possibly sooner. If we get that done in the next few weeks, we'll reopen apps immediately, with the usual end of the month deadline. If it takes us until the end of the month, we'll try to do a shortened app period (such as May 1-7) for project leader roles so no one is waiting a full two months to be able to apply for them.
And for those of you who already have Project Lead/Assistant roles, don't worry! We're not kicking your characters out of their jobs. All current project leaders will be able to keep their spots if they want them. They just might acquire a co-lead or a new assistant in some cases, if we wind up combining two projects that already have leaders, or they might shed or gain some specific topics that their project should focus on. Once we have a better idea of how the projects best squash together thematically, we'll contact current leaders about the changes before announcing them so everyone has a chance to tell us whether or not they want to keep their character's role given those changes.
In the meantime, the project objectives on the War Table are still the current IC priorities and will likely remain so post-reshuffle, so please don't let this hold you back from jumping in to get involved. The changes will mostly be administrative and organizational, not cutting anything from the actual plot, so all work directed at project objectives will still be relevant.
